Quick Rules
- Use a safe public username and never include personal information.
- Treat other players with respect.
- Do not cheat, automate play, manipulate scores, or exploit bugs.
- Do not disrupt multiplayer, challenges, spectating, replays, or online services.
- Report harmful, offensive, fraudulent, or suspicious activity.
- Do not abuse the reporting system.
The complete rules below apply even when an automated filter or technical control does
not prevent a violation.
1. Scope and Acceptance
These Online Rules govern public usernames, leaderboards, score submissions, challenges,
multiplayer, spectating, stored race replays, shared links, reports, and every other
Holovia feature that connects players or publishes player-related information.
The Online Rules form part of the Holovia Terms of Use.
You must accept both before using online features. Online features are available only to
players who select “16 or older.” Players in Under-16 Mode remain offline-only.
The rules apply to attempted violations, helping someone else violate them, and conduct
outside Holovia when it directly threatens Holovia users, staff, systems, or service
integrity.
2. Public Usernames and Profiles
Your username is public and may appear with your score, rank, challenge, multiplayer
activity, spectating activity, and replay. A suffix may be added to distinguish players.
You must not use a username or profile element that:
- contains your real name, email address, telephone number, home address, school, precise location, private identifier, or other identifying or sensitive information;
- contains slurs, hate speech, sexual or pornographic wording, threats, harassment, targeted insults, or profanity intended to abuse another person;
- sexualizes or exploits a child, refers positively to child sexual abuse, or attempts to normalize such material;
- promotes terrorism, violent extremism, self-harm, suicide, serious violence, illegal drugs, weapons trafficking, or other dangerous or unlawful conduct;
- impersonates another player, Voidworks, a moderator, a public authority, a company, or another real person;
- falsely suggests official status, verification, sponsorship, or affiliation;
- advertises, solicits, scams, directs users to unsafe content, or contains a disguised link or contact handle;
- infringes another person’s trademark, copyright, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- uses misspellings, spacing, symbols, numbers, another language, or coded wording to evade a filter; or
- is otherwise reasonably likely to create harm, confusion, or an unsafe environment.
Automated filters cannot recognize every language, spelling, context, or new phrase.
Passing a filter does not mean a username is approved permanently. We may require a
username change or replace or remove a username that violates these rules.
3. Respect Other Players
You must not:
- harass, bully, stalk, intimidate, shame, threaten, or encourage others to target a person or group;
- attack or degrade people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, medical condition, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, or another protected characteristic;
- make credible threats of violence or encourage someone to harm themselves or another person;
- repeatedly target a player through challenges, matchmaking, reports, usernames, or other features in order to upset or disrupt them;
- share humiliating, sexual, violent, or private material about another person; or
- organize or encourage coordinated harassment, false reporting, exclusion, or retaliation.
Competition and playful rivalry are allowed. Personal attacks, threats, discrimination,
and deliberate humiliation are not.
4. Protect Privacy and Personal Safety
You must not:
- request, publish, trade, or threaten to publish another person’s personal or sensitive information;
- attempt to identify an anonymous or pseudonymous player;
- share authentication tokens, private identifiers, private service records, payment details, or security information;
- use Holovia to arrange unsafe, exploitative, sexual, fraudulent, or illegal contact;
- collect, scrape, profile, or track players outside the normal features provided by Holovia; or
- record or redistribute another player’s information for harassment, blackmail, fraud, or unwanted surveillance.
If you accidentally expose personal information in a username or report, contact us so
we can assess whether it can be removed. If there is an immediate threat to someone’s
safety, contact the appropriate local emergency service or law-enforcement authority.
5. Prohibited and Illegal Content
The following is never allowed:
- child sexual abuse or exploitation material, grooming, sexualization of minors, or attempts to obtain such content;
- non-consensual intimate material or threats to create or distribute it;
- credible violent threats, terrorist recruitment or propaganda, or instructions intended to facilitate serious violence;
- content that encourages suicide, self-harm, eating-disorder abuse, or dangerous challenges targeting vulnerable people;
- fraud, phishing, malware, account theft, extortion, blackmail, or instructions intended to compromise devices or accounts;
- sale or promotion of illegal goods or services;
- content that unlawfully infringes intellectual-property, privacy, or publicity rights; or
- any content or activity prohibited by applicable law.
Voidworks may preserve and disclose relevant information when reasonably necessary to
address an immediate safety risk, comply with law, respond to valid legal process, or
report apparent child exploitation or another serious offence to the appropriate service
provider or authority.
6. Fair Play
Holovia is skill-based. Scores, results, races, challenges, and rewards must reflect
genuine play through the official game client.
You must not:
- use cheats, trainers, bots, macros, automation, modified clients, unauthorized plug-ins, memory editors, packet editors, or similar tools;
- alter game speed, physics, timers, scores, currency, inventory, replay data, movement, wall state, network messages, or device state to obtain an advantage;
- spoof requests, signatures, identities, devices, timestamps, versions, purchases, ad completions, or server responses;
- exploit a bug, race condition, disconnect, desynchronization, replay issue, matchmaking flaw, or economy error for an unfair result or reward;
- coordinate wins, losses, disconnects, fake opponents, alternate accounts, or repeated matches to boost scores, ranks, rewards, statistics, or challenge outcomes;
- submit a run performed by another person or falsely represent a replay or result as your own;
- use hardware, software, or accessibility tools primarily to automate gameplay or defeat fair-play controls; or
- help create, distribute, promote, sell, or test a cheating method against the live Service.
Normal device accessibility features are allowed when used for accessibility rather than
automation or unfair advantage. If you are unsure whether a tool is permitted, contact us
before using it in an online run.
7. Bugs, Exploits, and Responsible Reporting
If you discover a bug or vulnerability that can affect scores, purchases, accounts,
privacy, multiplayer, replays, or service availability:
- stop using it after the minimum testing reasonably needed to describe the issue;
- do not access another player’s data or exceed your own authorized access;
- do not extract, alter, delete, publish, sell, or retain data obtained through the issue;
- do not demand payment or threaten disclosure;
- do not publicly share reproduction steps before we have had a reasonable opportunity to investigate; and
- report it privately through the contact page or by email.
A good-faith report does not guarantee a reward. Deliberate exploitation, avoidable harm,
privacy intrusion, or continued abuse is not protected merely because it is later reported.
8. Leaderboards, Challenges, and Rewards
You must not:
- submit fabricated, corrupted, duplicated, impossible, or manipulated scores or replays;
- use alternate accounts, coordinated players, repeated intentional losses, or private arrangements to alter rankings or rewards;
- reserve, create, join, abandon, or delete lobbies at scale to disrupt access or gain an advantage;
- misuse shared challenge links or codes to spam, deceive, harass, or distribute unsafe material;
- claim a reward more than intended or knowingly retain duplicated rewards caused by an exploit; or
- misrepresent a leaderboard position, challenge result, opponent, or official event status.
Voidworks may investigate unusual results and may remove a score, rank, replay, reward,
lobby, or result when records are invalid, corrupted, duplicated, obtained unfairly, or
inconsistent with technical integrity checks.
9. Multiplayer, Connections, and Spectating
You must not:
- intentionally disconnect, stall, desynchronize, pause, or manipulate network conditions to force a result or prevent another player from finishing;
- interfere with another player’s connection, device, game client, lobby, run, or spectating session;
- use spectating or replay information to harass a player, expose private technical data, coordinate cheating, or obtain an unintended competitive advantage;
- impersonate an opponent, spectator, moderator, service message, or official result;
- repeatedly enter and leave sessions to disrupt matchmaking or another player’s game; or
- abuse kick, timeout, ready-state, reconnect, report, or other session controls.
Ordinary connection loss, device slowdown, crashes, and honest mistakes are not rule
violations. Enforcement considers available technical evidence and patterns rather than
treating every disconnect as intentional.
10. Service and Security Abuse
You must not:
- probe, scan, overload, flood, attack, or disrupt Holovia, Firebase, hosting, APIs, databases, storage, or another connected service;
- bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, security rules, age restrictions, privacy gates, feature locks, or moderation controls;
- create automated accounts, lobbies, requests, scores, reports, notifications, or traffic;
- scrape, harvest, mirror, index, or bulk-download player records, replays, usernames, scores, or service data;
- introduce malware, malicious links, corrupted payloads, or code intended to compromise a service or device;
- access data or systems beyond what the normal Holovia interface authorizes; or
- encourage, commission, or assist another person to perform security or service abuse.
11. Spam, Advertising, and Commercial Abuse
You must not use Holovia to:
- advertise products, services, social accounts, websites, gambling, cheats, account sales, or paid boosting;
- send repetitive, irrelevant, deceptive, or mass-created content, invitations, challenges, or reports;
- buy, sell, rent, trade, or transfer profiles, usernames, scores, challenges, virtual items, rewards, or access;
- run a giveaway, contest, wager, lottery, betting scheme, or commercial promotion without written permission;
- solicit money, credentials, personal information, or off-platform contact from players; or
- misuse Holovia branding or falsely claim sponsorship or partnership.
12. Reporting a Player or Content
Report a public username, player, score, replay, challenge, or other concern through an
in-game Report option where available. You may also email
Flint.tilley@voidworks-Industries.com.
A useful report includes:
- the reported public username and numeric suffix, if visible;
- the relevant game mode, lobby, challenge code, score, or replay;
- the approximate date and time;
- a short factual explanation; and
- a screenshot only when it is relevant and safe to share.
Do not include authentication tokens, payment information, unnecessary identity documents,
or unrelated personal information. Use available hide or block controls where
provided. For an immediate real-world danger, contact local emergency services rather than
relying only on an in-game report.
Reports must be honest. Knowingly false reports, coordinated mass reports, retaliation,
forged evidence, and repeated reports intended to harass are violations of these rules.
13. How Moderation Works
Moderation may use username filters, automated integrity checks, player reports, game and
service records, replay data, security signals, and human review. We may consider context,
language, severity, intent, repetition, account history, technical reliability, impact,
and risk to players or the Service.
Automated tools are imperfect. Content can be permitted initially and removed later, or
blocked incorrectly and restored after review. A report does not automatically prove a
violation, and we do not normally disclose private information or every investigative
detail to the reporting or reported player.
We may preserve relevant records for a reasonable period to investigate abuse, prevent
repeat violations, resolve appeals, protect the Service, or meet legal obligations. Data
handling is further explained in the Privacy Policy.
14. Possible Actions
Depending on the circumstances, Voidworks may:
- take no action where evidence is insufficient;
- issue guidance or a warning;
- reject, replace, or require a change to a username;
- hide or remove content, a replay, score, rank, lobby, challenge, result, or reward;
- reset affected statistics or progression where reasonably necessary to correct abuse;
- restrict reporting, matchmaking, challenges, spectating, leaderboards, or another online feature;
- place your Holovia profile in offline-only mode, blocking online features while allowing any available offline features to remain usable;
- temporarily suspend online access;
- permanently remove online access; or
- refer serious safety, fraud, security, or illegal conduct to a platform provider or competent authority.
Serious conduct may result in immediate restriction without a prior warning. This includes
credible threats, child exploitation, malicious security attacks, significant fraud,
distribution of cheats, deliberate exposure of personal information, and repeated evasion
of earlier enforcement.
Where reasonably possible and legally permitted, Voidworks will inform the affected player
of the main reason for an enforcement action, the features or content affected, its expected
duration where known, and the available appeal route. We may limit details where necessary
to protect another person, prevent further abuse, preserve an investigation, protect security,
or comply with law.
Attempting to evade an action by reinstalling, changing identifiers, creating another
profile, or using another person’s profile is a separate violation and may extend the action.
15. Appeals and Corrections
If you believe an enforcement decision is incorrect, email
Flint.tilley@voidworks-Industries.com. Include
your public username and suffix, the approximate decision date, the affected feature, and
a concise explanation. One complete appeal is more useful than repeated messages.
An appeal may result in the decision being upheld, reduced, changed, or reversed. We may
decline repeated appeals that provide no new relevant information. Where applicable law
provides an additional complaint or redress right, these rules do not remove it.
16. Changes to the Rules
These rules may be updated to address new features, abuse patterns, legal requirements,
safety risks, or platform policies. The current version and update date will be posted on
this page.
If a change materially affects player obligations, Holovia may display a notice and
require renewed agreement before online play. If you do not accept an updated version,
you must stop using online features and may continue using available offline features.
